In the beginning there was a girl living in Australia and a boy living abroad. The pair had been in love since high school but were so far apart. A trip was planned to meet up in Italy. The boy wanted to seize the opportunity and propose but he could not find a ring worthy, so he made one. With a background in metal fabrication and an artistic flare, an engagement ring was created. On a perfect evening upon a hillside in Cinque Terre, Italy the sunset glistened from the horizon and over the water until it reached the touching hands of the boy and girl. In that moment, the first Son Del Sol ring shined as it slid onto the girls hand and she said "I do".

From there the passion grew into a full time desire to create pieces of jewellery that can tell a story. Rings that are as imperfectly unique as the wearer and pieces of art that will last a lifetime.
